Sleepless in Suburbia

Sleep deprivation is one of the side-effects of having children. It’s a state we all do our best to bumble through each day in, remembering to brush our hair on occasion. Some of us even miraculously hold down jobs, and complete full sentences.

But sleep deprivation isn’t really a laughing matter. According to the US Department of Health “people who are sleep deficient are less productive at work and school. They take longer to finish tasks, have a slower reaction time, and make more mistakes. After several nights of losing sleep—even a loss of just 1–2 hours per night—your ability to function suffers as if you haven't slept at all for a day or two.”at

So, if you’re a parent who hasn’t slept properly for 6 weeks, or perhaps even 6 years, we think it’s fair to say you deserve a sleep in!

Our bodies need sleep. They need sleep to function, but they also need sleep for us to process what is going on in the world. Sleep is as important for new parents as it might be for someone grieving the loss of a good friend or parent.

THAT’S WHY WE DEVELOPED A SLEEP-IN KIT FOR FAMILIES.

Hide & Go Sleep is a family activity kit that gives one parent everything they need to create a memorable treasure hunt around the house, while the other parent gets some valuable sleep.

It’s perfect for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, but it works every single day of the year, because we know parents could do with a sleep in more than once a year!
